In Paris Again

We finally made it to Paris.

I left Vienna this morning at about 10:00, and landed about noon. Doreen landed at about 11:30 and was there to meet me.

We took a taxi to the apartment, and got settled in easily. This place is next door to the once we rented two years ago and stayed only one night. It is in the 6th arrodissment very close to St Sulpice Cathedral (I think it had a bit part in The Da Vinci Code) Mrs Vert was here to meet us, and all is well.

We walked and walked this afternoon to try and keep Doreen awake for a while. We noticed a Marche (Market) down the street and it was a Poetry market! There were poets and publishers selling their chap books. It was fun. We bought a little book.

We then walked into St Sulpice. It has a Meridian line in it – and we will be here for the Solstice! (see this). I will try and get photos of this event, too.

We then wandered about, at a little cheese, drank a little wine, and now we are back.

This promises to be a nice trip.
